Seaweed Foraging

Foraging walks in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion focusing on edible seaweeds

Goodwick, near Fishguard, Pembrokeshire
Thursday 31st March 2022

Aberporth, Ceredigion

Friday 1st April 2022

These workshops will focus primarily on seaweeds and we will be identifying and gathering a selection of more than ten or so tasty, edible seaweeds.

We will be taking a walk to the beach at low tide where we will explore the rocks for seaweed.

We will end the session going through the identification again, spend time seaweed tasting, looking at ways of preserving and using them, and eat some seaweed snacks.  For this last part of the workshop  we will go to a village hall.

Participants will forage, discuss sustainable harvesting and methods of preparation to make the most of these tasty seasonal plants.

Cost is £45 and includes refreshments and snacks. Places are limited to 12. Booking is essential
